I was fortunate to be a part of the ‘65 Creeker Baseball team that finished the season as the State Runner Up.

Fern Creek Memories:Fern Creek High School helped me find my voice. Against my objections, teachers and counselors pushed a bashful kid from Buechel Terrace into a speech contest in the eighth grade. Angry with a third place finish, I kept talking all the way through high school--Ky State Beta Club President, Drum Major, Junior Class President, Student Council President, and Mr. FCHS. The voice FCHS elicited from me led to my calling as a minister. Forever grateful to God and the Creek.

Fern Creek Memories:Fern Creek has and will always hold a special place with me and my family. My great-grandfather, S. A. Stivers, sold the land where the high school sits. I have had 19 family members graduate from FCHS, starting with my Mom in 1940 and ending with my youngest son in 2015. My children were 3rd generation Creekers!
My time at Fern Creek was memorable with friendships, learning and activities. I ran track/hurdles and managed the girls basketball team. Even walking the halls today, the smells and sounds, take me back to a way of life that made being a teenager fun. Once a Creeker – always a Creeker!

Fern Creek Memories:Fern Creek memories: I was Fern Creek born and raised and proud to attend where my parents, brother, and many aunts and uncles had gone to school. My time at FCHS allowed me to create and foster close friendships I have to this day. I was honored to have been inducted into the FCHS Alumni Hall of Fame in 2015 and to then be invited to serve the FCHS community as a board member of the Alumni Association my father help found.

Fern Creek Memories:I loved Friday nights at the football games and hanging out at Mr. Gatti’s. Working on our floats for and then participating in the homecoming parades. And all those countless hours practicing and playing with my teammates, cheering on the boys in their sports–and oh yay, there was school too! We had the best teachers and staff! I honestly think they truly all were my favorite teachers but I was the closest to my coaches and Frau Lusk having spent more time with them. Then there was the AP Office where I was an aide–I think they prepared me for my future and my current position as I work full-time at the Creek in the AP Office; they truly inspired me!

Fern Creek Memories:I was a foreign kid attending my second year of American high school. I started attending Fern Creek High School by the time by parents moved into the area.
While I didn't participate much in sports or extracurricular activities, the other kids took me in and I was able to find my place and thrive.

Fern Creek Memories:I have such fond memories of the amazing staff at Fern Creek, from Principal Tito Castillo to the legendary “Tabor Gang” on game days. They were all incredible people who not only supported the Tigers but continue to hold a special place in my heart as lifelong colleagues. Fern Creek truly embodies what it means to be an alumni!

Fern Creek Memories:Fern Creek has always felt like home to me, I always tell my students I know every hallway and staircase because I've been in these halls since I was 4 due to YMCA Summer care and Afterschool care. Being the 3rd generation to attend FC and marrying into a family that has had at least 5 family members attend the school, I truly think my blood runs orange. I always proudly say that I am a Fern Creek Alumni and a Teacher.
