History

The Fern Creek High School Alumni Association mission is to engage and involve our alumni in active support of our school. We host a variety of events and activities to keep our former students connected with our school. And we work together with our administration, faculty and staff to help the current students get the best education possible at Fern Creek.
The Alumni Association has raised more than $1 million to support the school. Projects range from the current Alumni Auditorium campaign, to annual student and teacher scholarships, to the ACT Up! program to help students prepare for the ACT Test, to physical improvements such as the Charlie Ruter Track and lights on the softball field.
Events and activiities include:
* Football Homecoming Weekend including an Alumni Reception at the game on Friday and our Alumni Breakfast in the school cafeteria on Saturday.(Mark your calendar for September 28-30 for Homecoming 2012.)
* The Alumni and Athletic Halls of Fame Induction Lunch (on Sunday of Homecoming Weekend)
* An Alumni Association Holiday Reception in December.
* Chili Supper and Silent Auction to benefit the scholarship fund during Basketball Homecoming.
* Annual Fifites Club lunch for those who have been out of school for 50 years or more.
The Fern Creek Alumni Association was incorporated in September 1997 as a not-for-profit corporation and granted tax-exempt 501(c)3 status by the IRS.
